The Locanda Acquavita is a five-room, family-owned inn near the Fondamente Nove (also spelled "Fondamenta Nuove") on the northern edge of Venice's historic center.

From the B&B, you can easily walk to the Rialto Bridge or the Piazza San Marco.

Getting to the Locanda Acquavita:

Boats of Alilaguna Linea Blu serve pier "A," one of four waterbus stations along the Fondamente Nove. (Late at night, a few Alilaguna Linea Arancio boats also stop at Fondamente Nove.)

Here's how to get from the pier to the Locanda Acquavita:

1. As you leave the pier, turn right and look for a narrow street on your left: the Salizada dei Spechieri.

2. Follow the street inland past the Gesuiti Church and through the Campo dei Gesuiti to a canal.

3. You'll see a bridge ahead of you. Cross the bridge and turn left at the Calle Venier, which will be the second street after the bridge.

4. The Locanda Acquavita will be on your left near the end of the street, right before another canal and bridge.
