The
Hotel Ca'
Formenta is located where Venice's main waterfront promenade meets the Via
Garibaldi, a wide pedestrian street that angles inland from St. Mark's Basin.
The three-star, 14-room hotel is no more than 10 to 15 minutes from the Piazza
San Marco on foot, and the setting is especially magical after dark when you can
walk along the water and watch the lights of passing boats.
How to reach the Hotel Ca' Formenta from the Arsenale
airport-boat stop:
As you leave the Alilaguna
Linea Blu boat pier, turn right and walk toward the
stone bridge.
Cross the bridge and continue past the Museo Storico Navale
and the Hotel Bucintoro.
Cross the next small bridge.
Bear left into the Via Garibaldi, where you'll see the Hotel
Ca' Formenta in the row of buildings on your left.

From the Marittima cruise terminals:
Take the Alilaguna Blue Line airport boat from the cruise
basin to Arsenale. (The price will be about half of the airport fare.)
Follow the directions above.
From the San Basilio cruise pier:
Leave the terminal by the main doors and walk to the wooden
bridge.
Cross the bridge and walk a short distance to the vaporetto
station.
Take the No. 2 vaporetto (water bus) in the direction of San
Zaccaria.
Get off at the Zaccaria stop, turn right, and walk along the
waterfront until you reach the Via Garibaldi. (You'll need to cross five
bridges, but otherwise the walk is over level pavement.)
